Turmeric Latte

This is a wonderful warm drink to help with inflammation, immunity and relaxation etc. This can be had around 8 pm to help you have a soothing sleep. Here is our healthy recipe to prepare the turmeric latte:


  • 1 cup of nut/coconut milk (you can also use half of water and half of this milk)
  • 3 pods cardamom, slightly crushed to release the spice taste and fragrance
  • 4 to 5 strands of saffron
  • ½ teaspoon grated fresh ginger or ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon organic turmeric powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper (this helps activate the properties of turmeric)
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or more as per taste


Slowly simmer all the above in a pan on low heat for about 10 minutes. You can then pour the turmeric latte into a cup, froth this if you have frother and enjoy!! You can vary the amounts above as per taste.
